The firm was founded by Jim Stafford, a Chartered Accountant. Jim’s experience of the credit management industry is extensive. He worked with Spicer & Oppenheim in New York from 1987 to 1989, and with Coopers & Lybrand in London from 1989 to 1994. He is also Managing Partner of Friel Stafford Corporate Recovery, a leading insolvency practice. He was Secretary General of the Irish Institute of Credit Management from 1999 to 2002.

The firm has worked on credit management solutions with Multi-National companies such as Dell and Hertz, National companies such as Glanbia, Foyle Meats, Doyle Hotel Group, Irish Life & Permanent, Eagle Star, Esat Business and Public Authorities such as Donegal County Council and Meath County Council.
